In this package, you can combine your cycling holiday with a train ride along the train section that has been named Sweden's most beautiful. You will cycle in varied nature on car-free roads along Göta Kanal, on pilgrimage routes and through nature reserves. The train takes you between picturesque train stations where you can conveniently hop off and visit Kinnekulle's attractions. Some routes you can choose yourself if you want to hop on the train or bike to get on with your journey. Regardless, you will get to enjoy powerful surroundings through strikingly beautiful nature.

The cycling holiday starts in Töreboda and the final destination is Söderköping and Mem at the canal's outlet in the Baltic Sea. The tour goes along the car-free towpath along the entire Göta Canal and passes 58 locks in this 200-year-old building. 15,5 km cycling and 3,5 hour boat trips along Sweden's blue ribbon. Fantastic experiences and memories for life await around the corner.

In Sjötorp, which is located at the canal's inlet from Lake Vänern, includes a visit to the Göta Canal Museum. Here you can follow the work on the Göta Canal - Sweden's largest cultural-historical building.

Discover the Göta Canal by bike & boat!
The passenger boat M/S Kung Sverker takes you across Lake Boren while you are served lunch on board. The ride slowly takes you to Borensberg and from here you cycle on towards the Göta Canal's biggest tourist attraction, Bergs slussar. With its seven locks that, like a staircase, lock the boats up or down for further travel on the blue ribbon. A relaxing tour in beautiful nature and lots of culture. Season:

The picturesque town of Söderköping is one of the most charming places along the Göta Canal. Experience the small town idyll and the canal landscape in a wonderful mix. Enjoy cycling on car-free roads along Sweden's largest cultural-historical buildings. New for this year is the bicycle boat that takes you across Lake Asplången. A wonderful experience that enhances the nature experience.
The trip goes from Söderköping to Norsholm and back again.

Feel free to bring your own favorite bike with you on this trip. The bicycle is safely and securely stored indoors at the hotel.
This bike ride can be considered a bit more demanding as it is quite hilly during some sections, a lot of uphill and also downhill. A little longer distances, a little more canal feeling and a visit to Sweden's reserve capital, Karlsborg. A historic journey along the Göta canal – Sweden's largest cultural and historical building and a visit to Karlsborg Fortress that takes you straight into the 1800th century. It is a wonderful spectacle to see life both on and next to the canal.
In our bicycle packages, you live at selected facilities with a good reputation. We offer Pensionat Prästgården with newly renovated family hotel rooms and Hotell Wettern in Karlsborg.

You can enjoy your cycling holiday on the completely car-free traditional towpath along the Göta Canal to Tåtorp, where the canal empties into Lake Viken.
